4096Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
4096 ("the app") is developed and published by Heet Gabani ("we", "us"). For any privacy question or request, email gabanihh@gmail.com.
2. Information stored on your device
So that you can close the app and continue later, the app saves the following in its private storage on your phone:
- Your current game: the tiles on the board, your score, the number of moves, whether you have reached 4096, and up to your last 3 moves so that Undo works.
- Statistics: best score, games played, games in which you reached 4096, highest tile and total moves.
- Settings: sound effects, haptic feedback, compliments and reduced motion preferences.
This information never leaves your device through the app. We do not receive, upload, collect or store it on any server. It contains no name, email address, contacts, location or other personal details.
3. Permissions
The app asks for no runtime permissions (it never shows a permission prompt). Android lists the following normal permissions, which are granted automatically at install:
- Vibration, for the optional haptic feedback when tiles move and merge.
- Modify audio settings and keep the device awake, used by the audio library that plays the short, optional sound effects.
- Internet and network state, declared by the app framework the game is built with. The game itself does not send or receive any data over the internet and works fully offline.
The app does not use the camera, microphone, contacts, location, photos, files, SMS or phone permissions.
4. No ads, analytics or tracking
- The app shows no advertising and contains no advertising SDK.
- The app contains no analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDK.
- There are no in-app purchases and no sign-in.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or share personal data.
5. Device backup
If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include the app's private data (your saved game, statistics and settings) in your personal device backup so it can be restored on a new phone. This backup is created and stored by Google under your account and its settings; we cannot access it.

7. Security
Your data is kept in app-private storage protected by Android's application sandbox, so other apps cannot read it. Because the app never transmits it, there is nothing to intercept in transit.
8. Retention and deletion
Your data stays on your device until you delete it. Starting a new game replaces the saved game; uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes everything. See how to delete your data. Because we never receive your data, we hold no copy that needs deleting.
9. Children
4096 is a general-audience puzzle game suitable for all ages. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
10. Your rights
Because your data remains on your device, you are always in control of it: you can reset it in the app or delete it by uninstalling. You may contact us at gabanihh@gmail.com with any question or request.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The latest version will always be available at this address, with the effective date shown above. If a future version ever introduces ads, analytics or any other data collection, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
